Capital Gains
|
Capital Gains is a cover band* in Baton Rouge, Louisiana that originated out of the E. J. Ourso College of Business of Louisiana State University, though not in any official capacity. Two of the members are faculty of the Ourso College, one is a two-time alumnus, and four former members were either faculty members or alumni. Capital Gains plays a variety of cover songs spanning several eras and also performs some original compositions. Capital Gains is somewhat unusual in that it not only has one female singer but two. While having females usually means that the men have to wait from time to time, the vocals cover a wide range. The band takes much of its inspiration from Fleetwood Mac and the Beatles. Its music would be classified as soft rock, with a few country songs thrown in for good measure. Capital Gains plays primarily parties and social events in the Baton Rouge and surrounding area. The members of Capital Gains are Don Chance, Susan Dunkhead, Rudy Hirschheim, Sam Roubique and Holly Walker. Bios on each are available at these hyperlinks or at the "Members" button below. You can contact Capital Gains at the following email address: info@capitalgainsmusic.com. *While Capital Gains is primarily a cover band, it does have some original songs. Click on the link called "Song List," which goes to a page where there are mp3s of original songs and a few covers. |
